Onscene

Onscene is a web app for text conversations with AI characters. The character speaks first: open a chat and a message is already waiting, and replies arrive as a few short texts with typing in between instead of one long block. There are 74 adult characters across drama, fantasy, mystery and romance, in anime style or as realistic portraits, each with a short voice intro. Every conversation keeps a memory you can open, edit or delete, so details stay consistent in long chats. There's also an interactive story mode with scenes and choices, and a step-by-step creator for your own characters. You can start chatting without an account; a free account adds five replies, then credit packs start at $5 or monthly plans at $8 (the same pack at 20% off, cancel anytime). It runs in any browser, installs as a web app, has no ads, and is for adults (18+).
