How to write FAQs that reduce support volume
FAQs are read by two groups: prospects deciding whether to sign up, and customers looking to solve a specific problem. Strong FAQs serve both at once.
Cover the questions a real user would Google. Pricing, limits, security, integrations, and "how do I get started" usually account for the bulk of pre-sale traffic.
Keep answers short and direct. Long FAQ entries lose readers and feel like marketing. Aim for 30 to 60 words per answer.
Update FAQs whenever support tickets reveal a new common question. The FAQ section pays for itself within weeks of being kept up to date.
FAQ Generator FAQ
How many FAQs do I get?
Eight question and answer pairs per run, covering different intents.
Can I edit the questions?
Yes. Use the copy button on each item and adjust both the question wording and the answer.
Does it generate schema markup?
No. Google removed FAQ rich results from Search in May 2026, so schema markup no longer earns extra visibility.
What makes a good FAQ question?
A good FAQ matches a real objection, search query, or support question and answers it directly.
Can FAQs help SEO?
Yes, when they answer useful long-tail questions naturally. They should not repeat keywords without adding information.
